Dr. Chao Zeng is currently a Research Fellow in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Liverpool, UK. From 2020 to 2023, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the TAMS group at the University of Hamburg (UHH), Germany. He received his Ph.D. degree from the South China University of Technology (SCUT) in 2019. His general research interests focus on robot learning control, with a particular emphasis on robot imitation learning, compliant manipulation, and human-robot physical interaction. He has served as the principal investigator or main researcher in several international and national projects related to these topics. His research findings have been published in leading international journals and conferences, including IEEE/ASME TMECH, IEEE TASE, IEEE TII, IEEE TNNLS, RAL, RAS, and IROS. His work has been featured multiple times in media outlets such as TechXplore. Dr. Zeng has served as a Lead or Co-Guest Editor for several academic journals and as a Technical Committee (TC) member for numerous international academic conferences.
